Maynard, Massachusetts-based IPL Systems Inc has added to its ESP 7000 Disk Series with the introduction of the ESP-MiniTower (ESP-MT), a disk storage solution for IBM Corp RS/6000 and Novell Inc NetWare servers. This means, says the company, that its Evolving Storage Platform is now fully portable between IBM AS/400 and RS/6000 CPUs and Novell NetWare systems. Compatible with IBM’s RS/6000 running AIX Version 3.2.4 and IBM-compatible network servers running NetWare Versions 3.11, 3.12, or 4.XX, the ESP-MT is available in one to seven drive configurations with from 2Gb to 14Gb of storage. It can be configured with a differential or single-ended interface – an exclusive feature, says IPL. The RS/6000 version is available immediately; the NetWare version will be available within 60 days. Pricing starts at $9,100.
