The Citrix Mobile Analytics Report was released today, revealing that the average iPhone 6 Plus user blasts through twice as much data as the normal iPhone 6 user.

The difference is largely attributable to more video viewing using the larger screen, as the "phablet" hosts a 5.5" screen compared to the 4.7" standard device.

The survey also revealed that video was becoming increasingly popular for all mobile users. The top five mobile games by data volume all contain video, as opposed to only two of the top five at the same time last year. Additionally, 50 percent of sports content on mobile is now video.

Meanwhile, the number of enterprise-managed devices increased 72 percent in the last year. Apple remains the leader in this field, with 64 percent of enterprise devices running on iOS.

Chris Fleck, Vice President of Mobility Solutions and Alliances, Citrix, commented: "The line between personal and business mobility continues to blur as people routinely use the same smartphones and tablets across every part of their lives. It’s no longer possible to maintain artificial boundaries of personal and business mobility.

He added: "With insights into the latest mobile user behavior, preferences and needs, the Mobile Analytics Report provides a window into the potential pitfalls and opportunities for mobile operators and enterprise IT to deliver mobile experiences that people expect at home, work, and play."
