IPC, a US-based provider of communications for the financial markets, has extended its strategic partnership with Tullett Prebon, a UK-based inter-dealer money broker, with the announcement of a business continuity services to safeguard Tullett Prebon’s entire London trader communications infrastructure.

According to IPC, the business continuity service features fully managed optical connectivity between Tullett Prebon’s central London trading floor and its disaster recovery site in Kent, affording flexibility to move all or part of the trading floor connectivity within hours. Trading can be conducted from either site or both sites simultaneously and can remain completely transparent to end-user clients.

IPC’s business continuity infrastructure service is expected to enable Tullett Prebon to use its disaster recovery site as a production site, thereby eliminating the need for scheduled testing and ensuring normal operations from any location.

The new service allows the entire trading communications inventory to be switched between sites within hours from IPC’s global solution operations center, said IPC.

Marianne Leitch, senior vice president of IPC Network Services, said: We are delighted to have been selected by Tullett Prebon to provide our advanced business continuity solution. We value our relationship with Tullett Prebon and have tailored our services and support model to enable them to exceed their business goals now and in the future.
