IPC SAYS IT IS SET TO FORSAKE COMPUTERS FOR CELLULAR PHONES

IPC Corp Ltd, Singapore expects 60% of its group net profits to come from its telecommunications business this year, rising to 80% in a few years, the Business Times reported. It quoted IPC chairman Patrick Ngiam as saying in Hannover the company intended to make its German cellular phone manufacturer Hagenuk Telecom GmbH into a full IPC subsidiary in the next few weeks.
