Iomega Corp said yesterday its IomegaUs Zip drive will ship with a Packard Bell consumer model bringing the number of OEM deals for the Roy, Utah-based drive and disk manufacturer to five, including Acer Corp, Hewlett-Packard Corp, Micron Electronics Corp and Power Computing Corp. On Monday Iomega filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission for a $5m split-adjusted share offer, but wouldn’t say what the cash was for (CI No 2,912) and wouldn’t say when its secondary stock offering would be held. Iomega isn’t resting after the Packard Bell announcement: We’re talking to a lot of different PC companies at the moment.
