Web development specialist Inviqa said it expects to expand its workforce by 200 after growing its staff from two to 100 over the last six years.

The company, which uses open source technologies to develop and fix web and mobile applications for businesses, attributed the increase to having to be more effective online.

Yair Spitzer, CEO of Inviqa, said that competitors which fail to increase their teams with talent will get left behind as they’ll only ever have the capacity to deliver fewer services to clients.

"We will continue to grow this company so that our clients don’t have to shop around a number of suppliers trying to find their technical solution. Our size allows us to understand and resource their project completely and thoroughly," he added.

Inviqa, which was founded in 2007, has worked with 50 organisations including the BBC, Comic Relief and PZ Cussons.
