Investronica Sa, which since early this year has been working in collaboration with Informatica El Corte Ingles, has opened a factory in Madrid, which will manufacture INVES computers, workstations, multiprocessors and other computing products. A team of 250 engineers, technicians and specialists will be employed at the factory. Besides the production and assembly lines, laboratories and production engineering and product development departments will be sited on the premises. Considerable emphasis will be placed on quality control. Disks, memories and other components will be checked before assembly, the manufacturing process will be continuously monitored, and 100% of the finished products will undergo further checks, says the company. All INVES components and products are tested in environmental chambers, where they are subjected to extreme electrical, electronic and mechanical conditions, at temperatures of between -20 and +150 degress centigrade and humidity levels of between 10% and 98%.
