Intersil opens new design center in China

Intersil, a provider of analog semiconductor devices, has opened a new design and application centre in Hangzhou, China.

The new centre will develop reference designs and provide system level application support for Intersil’s customer base in China.

The company has reported that another focus of the center will be ongoing collaboration with the Joint Power Management Laboratory that Intersil established in late 2007 at Zhejiang University, also based in Hangzhou.

Huang Jiong, manager of applications centre for China at Intersil, said: The new application centre will partner with Zhejiang University for research in a variety of technologies, and hire graduates to work in Hangzhou and other areas in China.
