The company has reported that another focus of the center will be ongoing collaboration with the Joint Power Management Laboratory that Intersil established in late 2007 at Zhejiang University, also based in Hangzhou.

Huang Jiong, manager of applications centre for China at Intersil, said: The new application centre will partner with Zhejiang University for research in a variety of technologies, and hire graduates to work in Hangzhou and other areas in China.
