CyberSource Corp has signed an agreement to integrate its digital commerce services with electronic commerce applications from San Francisco, California-based Intershop Communications. Intershop, originally founded in Germany in 1992, says it plans to use the technology to expand back-office management features in areas such as fraud protection, secure transaction methods and electronic software distribution in its turnkey electronic commerce applications. Its key products include the single-site Intershop Online and its multi-site offering, Intershop Mall, designed to enable businesses to design and run businesses on the Internet (CI 3,269). Cybersource provides Internet services in areas such as credit card processing, fraud screening, export control and secure digital goods distribution.
