Advertising spending on the internet continues to ramp up, according to figures from the Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) yesterday. It’s report, which is administered by Coopers & Lybrand LLP, says total online advertising spending in the first quarter amounted to $129.5m, an 18% rise on the previous quarter, and almost half the amount spent during the whole of last year. It also found that spending is being spread more evenly among publishers. The data was collected from more than 200 internet publishers.
