INTERNATIONAL DATA BASE ACQUIRE BIDNET

By CBR Staff Writer

BidNet, the US nationwide government bid service, has been bought from Dun & Bradstreet by International Data Base Corp for an undisclosed sum: BidNet is an electronic service which when an invitation for a bid is issued by a purchasing agency matches it through a computer database with a subscriber’s product; the service then transmits a Bid Alert, notifying the vendor of the sales opportunity; International is going to price the service to make it more attractive for small and medium-sized businesses.
