Moscow-based Intermicro has announced that it is splitting off its Apple Computer Inc computer distribution business with the creation of the subsidiary, Distribution of Products of Intermicro. Evgenij Butman, formerly commercial director of Intermicro, has been made president of Distribution of Products of Intermicro. Intermicro will now concentrate on supplying integrated publishing and printing systems. Today, Distribution of Products of Intermicro has a network of 34 dealers in the former Soviet Union; turnover of Intermicro in 1994 was $15m. Sales outside Moscow have grown to account for 30% in 1994, against 9% in 1993. Sales of Apple computers in 1993 totalled $9m and has almost doubled in 1994.
