Intergraph Corp has now confirmed the sale of its ANAtech scanner and software company, part of its Z/I Imaging Division, to Colortrac Inc, something noted here earlier this month (CI No 3,739). Colortrac is the Silver Spring, Maryland-based US subsidiary of Cambridge, UK-based Colortrac Ltd. The company has formed a new scanning and imaging division, ACTion Imaging Solutions, in which it will combine ANAtech with Colortrac Inc and an earlier acquisition, Tangent Imaging Systems Inc, which it acquired from Sedona Corp. That deal is due for completion this month.

Colortrac’s core business has been applications for processing color and monochrome documents, especially large and wide format color scanning. It claims to have been the first to deliver 30- bit digital image capture technology and to have offered real time scan-to-print systems for color reprographics.
