Eastman Kodak Co’s Interactive Systems Corp, Santa Monica, California announced yesterday that it will demonstrate its 486/ix operating system, claiming it to be the first commercial product based on AT&T’s new Unix System V.4, at Unix Expo New York November 1 to 3. It will ship in the first quarter of next year and will be supported by the 386/ix X11 windowing system and XView. Interactive’s Motif Development System, based on the OSF/Motif user interface, and scheduled to ship in mid-November, and Looking Glass Desktop Manager from Visix Software Inc, which is set to begin shipping during the first quarter of 1990, will be demonstrated on workstations running 386/ix X11 windowing system.
