Denver, Colorado-based Interactive Television Network Inc has partnered with Digital Equipment Corp to develop an interactive television network. Interactive Television will broadcast under the name I1 (pronounced eye-one) and will test interactive services on Malta’s cable system in the next couple of months. It is also talking to US pay television operators with a view to testing services in the US. DEC will supply its Alpha RISC-based video servers and Pentium systems for the trial.
