IBM may have signalled the demise of Profs with the launch of OfficeVision, but Interactive Images Inc, Woburn, Massachusetts reckons there is plenty of mileage yet in the VM office system, and has come out with an Easeloffice 2.0 release of its MS-DOS application template for creating graphical user interfaces to Profs. Easeloffice offers a fully graphical interface to Profs functions from MS-DOS, including mail, note log, calendar and reminder fetaures, with icons, windows and colour graphics in place of Profs PF keys, complex menus and the difficult 3270 environment.Custom applications not found in standard Profs can also be built into the Easeloffice interface. It needs an IBM or IRMA 3270 emulation board or a HLLAPI driver and costs $25,000 for a site licence.
