Eastman Kodak Co’s Interactive Systems Corp, Santa Monica, California, is forging ahead with the development of its 386/ix operating system in deals with Locus Computing Corp, also Santa Monica, and Relational Technology Inc, Alameda, California. Interactive is to is to bundle the Unix server module of Locus’s PC-Interface with the 386/ix, which will be available with version 2.0 of 386/ix, due this month. The company will also market the DOS PC module of the PC-Interface through its distribution network. And Interactive has also bundled Relational’s Ingres database management system with 386/ix – at no extra cost to end users – for immediate availability.
