Intel Corp has introduced its Digital Video Interactive two chip set as the 80750 – at under $100 in volume, and reckons that soon, most personal computers will be singing and dancing – it says that over 200 companies are working with the chips. Intel claims that it is the first time that personal computer support of full motion video and sound has been available from just two chips. Samples of the 80750 video processor are available now and production quantities will be available in the first quarter of 1991. It costs $105 for 1,000-up, $85 when you order 10,000.
