The company, formerly known as Pumatech, has devoured three other operations over the past year. In July 2003 it bought most of the assets of Loudfire Inc, a developer of software providing real-time, browser-based access for mobile phones to email and PIM information in Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express. A month later it bought carrier-grade virtual private network software vendor Spontaneous Technology Inc (Spontec) and in March this year acquired Mobile Software America.
