Intel teams with NIIT to train Indian devs

Intel Corp and Indian IT training firm NIIT Ltd said yesterday they would develop joint training programs on applications that run on Intel architectures and platforms.

By CBR Staff Writer

Initially, the new program would focus on multi-core processing and be offered at 10 NIIT centers at Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad, among others.

The goal is to train at least 50,000 students during the next three years to establish a benchmark for global counterparts, the companies said.

In the next phase, NIIT will carry this experience to China and other Asia Pacific countries, said Rajendra Pawar, chair of New Delhi-based NIIT, in a statement.

The instructor-led programs would include methods on how to optimize applications on Intel architectures, code samples, self-help and troubleshooting tools.
