Intel Corp is set to announce its latest processors aimed at the mobile systems market today (Monday). including a faster version of the Mobile Celeron, which gets a clock speed boost to 333MHz. Current versions of the chip run at 300MHz. At the Intel Developers Conference in February, Intel said that Mobile Celerons would reach 400MHz clock speeds during the second half of the year.

Intel is also expected to release two low power chips aimed at the emerging mini-notebook form factor. Previously , these systems have used a low-power version of the Pentium with MMX – but Intel is now bringing the Pentium II architecture down to these systems, running at a 266MHz clock speed. There is also a 266MHz low-power Celeron, aimed at the same market.

Prices, in quantities of 1,000, are $159 for the 333MHz Celeron 333MHz and $127 for the 266MHz Celeron. The 266MHz Mobile Pentium II will cost $219.
