Intel Corp, which has equity investments in dozens of companies, has added web-based business applications developer SilverStream Software Inc to the list. The amount of money Intel sunk into the Burlington, Massachusetts company for the minority stake was not disclosed. SilverStream says it will collaborate with Intel to optimize the performance of SilverStream’s Java-based Web Application Platform on Intel Architecture servers. The two companies will also engage in joint marketing activities.
