Help desk supplier Magic Solutions Inc has signed a licensing deal with Intel Corp to integrate its own SupportMagic solution with Intel’s Desktop Integrator technology with the release of SupportMagic Enterprise 4.0 in the autumn. The new release will give support analysts the ability to access information from desktops equipped with Intel’s LANDesk Management Suite, Novell Inc’s Managewise and Microsoft Corp’s Systems Management Server, which Magic Solutions claims will make support analysts more responsive to service requests while also increasing resolution rates, productivity and customer satisfaction. The link to the Intel LANDesk product family allows users access to PC systems discovery, inventory data, diagnostics, software distribution and remote control tools, all from the one console, allowing the management of support and network operations from a central point.
