INTEL DEAL IS DOCUMENTUM’S LARGEST YET

By CBR Staff Writer

Nearly half of fast-growing document management concern Documentum Inc’s $11.1m first quarter license revenue was derived from a whopping deal with Intel Corp. The $5m deal is the largest in the company’s history. Total revenue rose 73% to $15m from $8.7m in the same period last year. Documentum says it’s sold roughly 200,000 seats to-date. International revenue accounted for 15% of revenue, while indirect channels contributed 18% of revenues in the quarter including 9% from Xerox Corp. Following its recent tie-up with SAP AG, the company’s expected to forge links with other enterprise resource planning companies such as Baan Co NV and Oracle Corp this year.
