INTEL ANNOUNCES DETAILS OF THE NEW MS-DOS MODULE, THE WILDCARD 88

Intel Corp has announced details of a new MS-DOS module – the Wildcard 88 – that is claimed to add in-system IBM XT functionality to products that use embedded control electronics; the module’s core logic is incorporated in two chips – a standard CHMOS 8OC88 microprocessor, and a peripheral chip that incorporates memory management interrupts and timer-counter functions: Wild-card 88 is $50 for 1,000-up.
