Intel is planning to launch its MICA smart bracelet in December. Powered by Intel, the bracelet has been designed by fashion brand Opening Ceromany.
My Intelligent Communication Accessory, or MICA, is targeted towards fashion conscious, tech savvy users.
The bracelet is made with 18k gold plated metal along with snakeskin, and also includes semiprecious gems and a wooden bauble on the clasp.
It features a sapphire touchscreen display which will operate through an AT&T wireless data service included in the hardware, which is designed to dismiss the need to pair it with smartphones.
The bracelet will alert the user to notifications through a gentle vibrate from Facebook, Google and Yelp, and text messages along with important alerts set by the wearer.
Users will be able to reply through customisable, pre-written replies.
Intel New Devices Group general manager Ayse Ildeniz said: "MICA captures Intel’s philosophy that technology should enhance jewelry in order to make wearable technology truly ‘wantable’ in addition to seamless and productive."

MICA will cost $495 which would include two years of AT&T wireless data service and will be available at Opening Ceremony stores in New York and Los Angeles, along with select Barneys’ New York locations and online stores.
