Sparcsystems cloner Integrix Inc, of Newbury Park, California is marketing two SparcStation 20-compatible workstations with the new-fangled 100MHz quad HyperSparc processors from Ross Technologies Inc. The lower-end SWS20E, billed as an alternative to high-cost Unix workstations, is an entry-level workstation with 512Mb main system memory and a built-in Integrated Services Digital Network interface. The higher-end multimedia-oriented SWS20 is configured with an integrated 24-bit SX graphics board with 8-bit overlay for 32-bit graphics. Sun Microsystems Inc’s 32-bit SX graphics standard can be achieved by adding a 4Mb or 8Mb video memory board. The SWS20 also offers 16-bit audio capability. Integrix is pricing the basic SWS20 at $3,500 and the SWS20E at $3,000. Fully configured, with a 100MHz HyperSparc processor, 32Mb memory, 1Gb hard disk and 17 colour monitor, the systems list for $10,500 and $10,000 respectively.
