Integrated Device Technology Inc is tipped to come out later this week with a VLSI cache memory controller chip set for use with fast versions of the 80386. Intel reportedly asked Integrated to develop a device that replaces the 27 cache controller chips with just four parts. The chip set is likely to be $80.
