Integrated Data Systems Inc of Savannah, Georgia, developer of 3D and multimedia authoring software for the internet, is shipping V-Realm Builder 2.0, for Intenet site developers looking for an easier to add 3D to their Web sites. V-Realm Builder 2.0 lets web designers create shapes and landscapes, add realism through texture mapping; quickly animate VRML worlds; and develop complex interaction through scripting, it said. In addition, it lets users edit in native VRML 2.0 code. V-Realm Builder’s tools allow for polygon reduction, direct definition of complexity levels and quick shape description optimization, with the chance to view the results instantly. V-Realm Builder is bundled with two VRML 2.0 browsers; Cosmo Player from Silicon Graphics Inc and WorldView from Intervista Software. Also included is Microsoft’s Web Publishing Wizard FTP software. V-Realm Builder 2.0 is $600, with upgrades for $100. V-Realm Builder 2.0 runs on Windows 95 and NT and DEC Alpha platforms. It requires a minimum of 16 MB RAM and uses OpenGL.
