InsureNet has developed an automated system and method for providing accurate, on-the-spot insurance status verification for officers responding to the scene of an accident or a routine traffic stop.

The parts are now in place for the first-ever national vehicle insurance verification system that will allow law enforcement to immediately, at the scene, accurately determine the insurance status of a vehicle, said Nlets’ executive director, Steve Correll. This no-cost service by Nlets and InsureNet is intended to enable those who protect our society to do their jobs more effectively and safely.

It will be a tremendous resource and benefit to law enforcement, insurers and drivers, said Jonathan Miller, president of InsureNet.
