INSURANCE HOUSE TOTAL SYSTEMS SEES PROFITS & SALES UP

Total Systems Plc, the London-based software company specializing in the insurance market, is back on an upward trajectory with buoyant sales of its Ultima insurance system. Net profits for the six months to September 30 were up 143% at 326,000 pounds while revenue rose 36.6% to 2.0m pounds. Sales growth is at its highest for three years and the company’s operating profit margin has jumped eight points to 21% since the end of last year. The company expects to recruit heavily in the second half and is in the process of seeking out larger premises in central London. Cash balances at the half year stage rose to 1.5m pounds representing nearly 15 pence per share on a share price up 9 pence at 68.5 pence. The interim dividend has risen by 30% to 0.65 pence per share.
