Instinet to offer direct market access via Orc ExNet

New-York based Instinet Europe Limited has announced that access to its global electronic trading services is now available via trading technology provider Orc Software's trading network, Orc ExNet.

Instinet’s trading functionality has been integrated into the various Orc front-ends in an attempt to facilitate access to its global equity markets for Orc Software clients.

Steve Harris, head of direct market access, Instinet, said the agreement includes access to the company’s SmartRouterSM technology which is designed to pursue best execution across multiple trading venues.

Jonas Lindstrom, CEO of Orc Software, added: Orc Software’s clients can now use the Orc front-ends to trade on European and US cash markets via Instinet.
