INGRES OFFERS GRAPHICAL QUERY LANGUAGE FOR APPLES

Well DEC may not have cemented its relationship with Ingres Corp by taking an equity stake, but a friendly nudge appears to be pushing Ingres into the Apple Computer Inc market, particularly as Ken Olsen has recently been quoted as saying that DEC should have resold Apple computers years ago: anyway Ingres is offering Graphical Query Language to enable Apple end-users to connect to Ingres and it is also supporting Apple’s Data Access Language, formerly known as CL/1, through which it says Apple users can access Ingres running on a DEC VAX via Hypercard at the front end.
