Ing C Olivetti SpA has created Olivetti Office USA out of Olivetti USA and the Triumph-Adler Royal Inc operation acquired by Olivetti in 1986: in the second half of 1989, Adler-Royal Business Machines and Royal Consumer Business Products moved from their Mountainside, New Jersey facility to Olivetti USA’s headquarters in Somerville, 20 miles west; the new Business Products Division of Olivetti Office USA has been reorganised to sell Olivetti personal computers, printers, ETV products, electronic typewriters and calculators through authorised Olivetti dealers; Adler-Royal word processors, electronic typewriters, a new personal computer line, calculators and a new shredder will also be marketed by this division through authorised Adler-Royal dealers; a Royal Imaging Systems Division has been created to market both Adler-Royal copier and facsimile and Olivetti facsimile products through authorised dealers; the Royal Consumer Products Division will market portable typewriters, consumer handheld and desktop calculators, electronic reference and data storage devices, translators and cash registers through retail and mass market outlets; the Supply Products Division, led will market Olivetti and compatible supplies, Adler-Royal and Royal branded supply items and Roytype products; and the Advanced Office Automation Division will be responsible for marketing Olivetti personal computers, printers and workstations in networked configurations through authorised Olivetti Advanced Office Automation dealers.
