Infosys Q3 revenue increases to $1.5bn

18% increase in net income

Infosys Technologies has reported total revenues of $1.5bn for the second quarter of FY11, an increase of 29.6% as compared to $1.15bn for the same quarter prior year.

The company’s gross profit for the second quarter was $641m as compared to $492m for the same period last year.

Infosys has posted profit before income taxes of $509m for the quarter as compared to $399m of Q2 FY2010.

For the quarter ended 30 September 2010, the company has posted net income of $374m which is an increase of 18% as compared to $317m for the same period last year.

Infosys Technologies CEO and managing director Gopalakrishnan said the company has leveraged its client relationships, offerings and investments to grow faster in this quarter, in spite of the economic environment continuined to be challenging,

Infosys expects Q3 FY11 revenues to be in the range of $1.54bn and $1.56bn.
