By CBR Staff Writer

Apple Computer Inc’s implementation of Unix System V for the new 68020-based Macintosh II personal computer has just entered its final beta test and is on schedule for December availability in the US. Informix Software Inc has already completed an Informix- SQL implementation for the beta test version of A/UX on the Mac II and is planning to launch the relational database product as soon as A/UX becomes commercially available. Cupertino, California-based Apple says that A/UX now supports the Massachusetts Institute of Technology-developed X Window windowing stan.cw 8 dard, currently in its Version 10, but says that it will be moving on to Version 11 in the near future, offering it as a complementary alternative to the traditional Macintosh graphics windows.
