INFORMIX POLISHES TOOLS STRATEGY

Informix Software Inc next week takes the lid off its long-awaited tools strategy, promising that well learn the fate of its on-off Windows-based NewEra 4GL (were supposed to understand that its still on). It is also expected to reveal plans for the data modeling products it has picked up with the recent acquisition of CenterView Software Inc (CI No 3,107). The company is obviously going to be working on this down to the wire and its European colleagues were being very coy about what exactly theyre going to be handed from the Menlo Park headquarters.
