INFORMATICA LAUNCHES MULTIMEDIA COMPUTERS

Madrid-based Informatica El Corte Ingles recently announced a range of multimedia personal computers, equipped with a 16-bit SoundBlaster audio interface, two-speed CD-ROM, Microsoft Corp Sampler, Microsoft Creative Writer and SoundBlaster Audio Tools games. The new models incorporate a system that reduces energy consumption and noise levels, and have been manufactured using eco-friendly processes and recyclable materials. The Inves Covadonga Multimedia comes with an Intel Corp SI Enhanced DX4-75 processor, 8Mb RAM, 420Mb IDE hard disk and Super VGA VESA architecture with 1Mb Video RAM, expandable to 2Mb. The Inves VIP Multimedia is a 69MHz Pentium machine that includes Plug ‘n’ Play architecture, an IDE PCI disk controller and a 14 low-radiation screen.
