Girish Pancha, executive vice president of products at Redwood City, California-based Informatica said the new Powered by SAP NetWeaver certification affirms the company’s commitment to SAP data environments.
It’s the latest of Informatica’s data integration interfaces certified by SAP and will help customers to deploy, upgrade and consolidate SAP systems, Pancha said.
The certification is available for the PowerCenter 7 platform, which can now be deployed (as a plug and play Web service) against the SAP Web Application Server 6.40 component of NetWeaver. It can also be integrated into SAP Enterprise Portal 6.0 and iViews.
Informatica has partnered with SAP since 2000 and claims over 400 SAP customers. In September this year PowerCenter 7 and PowerConnect 7 were granted SAP Data Migration Interface (CA-DMI) certifications. Previous certifications have also been awarded for SAP’s business intelligence platform.
