Data integration software provider Informatica Corporation has inaugurated a new research and development (R&D) facility in Bangalore, India.

The new 150,000 ft² site will contribute to the design, development, release and maintenance of Informatica’s products and technology.

The company also aims to leverage the software development capabilities of Indian talent to develop the next generation of data integration offerings and address the demand for its products in the Indian sub-continent and beyond.

Informatica invests around 16% of its annual revenues in research and development (R&D).

The company said the new Indian R&D facility will develop advanced, mainline products across all components of the Informatica Platform.

The new facility will also support various activities including research and development, customer support, professional services, IT, sales and marketing, partner alliances and human resources.

Informatica said the facility will be the biggest of Informatica’s development centres in ten countries around the world.
