Infor, a provider of enterprising software systems, has launched a version 8.01 of ERP SyteLine, an enterprise resource planning system.
According to the company, new features in ERP SyteLine 8.01 include support for Infor MyDay, a Web 2.0 user interface for Infor applications that provides central access to the critical information users need to excel in their daily work, enhanced customer relationship management (CRM) functionality and improved event management.
The new version also includes additional CRM capability to help manufacturers optimize customer relationships through the integration of marketing, sales and service. With this functionality built directly into the solution, companies can update information stored in the system to manage prospects and sales contacts. With visibility and access to customer information, users of ERP SyteLine are able to expand their marketing and lead generation opportunities and create new revenue for the company.
ERP SyteLine 8.01 also features improved event management for manufacturers. The system is claimed to provide workflow, automation and real-time response to changing conditions within ERP SyteLine. Event management in ERP SyteLine also enables users to receive alerts as steps are completed in various processes, so that multiple departments can work in unison and are updated in real time on production and development status the company added.
Kevin Piotrowski, director of discrete solution marketing at Infor, said: New features in ERP SyteLine deliver powerful new functionality to an already dynamic system, making it an even stronger tool for manufacturers. A critical enhancement to the solution is Infor MyDay, which takes ERP to the next level by delivering users more relevant data directly to their desktops, based on their individual roles at the company.
