Alpharetta, Georgia-based Infor said the combination of Hansen and its own existing government software would establish it as a leading provider of enterprise applications that serve the needs of government entities. It said together, they would offer human capital management, revenue management, and enterprise asset management to municipalities.

With more than 70,000 customers and a workforce that tops 8,100, Infor has annual revenue in excess of $2bn and is one of the largest ERP players that exist below the big two, Oracle and SAP. Its strategy is based on software tailored for each vertical sector.

Hansen has 470 customers in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and the UK. Infor said Hansen’s product architecture supports interoperability with Infor’s portfolio through Infor Open SOA.
