Infor, a provider of business software for mid-market companies, has launched a new customer relationship management (CRM) offering, CRM Business, which uses Microsoft Dynamics CRM as the core of the solution.

The company said that the first version of CRM Business provides diverse tools for improving customer experiences and harnessing growth opportunities across marketing, sales and customer service.

It is designed to provide mid-sized companies the functionality that is intuitive to learn, use and manage.

The company plans to extend the core functionality of Microsoft Dynamics CRM in subsequent releases, adding new capabilities based on verticals which includes distribution, manufacturing and public sector.

Infor senior vice president of Global Product Development Soma Somasundaram said, as they looked to further address mid-sized companies’ needs and differentiate themselves in the market, they realised they needed an easy-to-use, affordable CRM solution that would complement their unified technology strategy and provide fast return on the customer’s investment.

"Microsoft Dynamics CRM is a natural fit given our recently announced agreement to more closely align technologies, its low cost and ease-of-use," Somasundaram said.
