Infonet Services Corp is offering a new set of network management information services, PerspeXion, to multinational customers of its Public Data Network, international Virtual Private Data Network, and Infolan communication services. With the new PerspeXion software, real-time graphic, alarm and trouble ticket information is transmitted from the El Segundo, California company’s Infonet’s Network Control Centre to the client’s site. Customers can then view all their network locations (including private ports, local in-country circuits and routers) from a single screen. It will also allow users to zoom in on equipment that has malfunctioned, and access Infonet’s trouble ticket database. Scheduled for commercial availability in the fourth quarter of 1993, PerspeXion Vision software will run on OS/2 personal computers and will typically cost around $1,000 a month. The PerspeXion Manage service is designed for multinationals with Infonet-managed hybrid and private networks, who want a PerspeXion Vision system and other features tailored to their environment. It will be priced according to individual requirements, and commercially available in the fourth quarter. PerspeXion Link delivers daily, weekly and monthly network performance reports to Infonet’s clients. It will be included in PerspeXion Vision as well as PerspeXion Manage, but can also be subscribed to as a stand-alone service. Slated for commercial availability in June, PerspeXion Link typically costs $300 a month.
