Under the deal, Santa Clara, California-based Conxion will provide El Segundo, California-based Infonet with a broader range of IT infrastructure services in the US and UK including managed services, web design and server outsourcing. Conxion will also gain access to a broader range of Infonet’s clients, and the deal adds to an existing two-year reseller arrangement the company has with IBM Global Services.
The partnership adds to Infonet’s existing agreements with many telecoms operators for hosting and internet connectivity. However, the company has suffered in recent months following the bankruptcies of suppliers WorldCom and KPNQwest, and has been looking to bring in new partners.
