InfoGin unveils new suite of mobile browsing offerings

Claims to provide operators with blueprint for control of mobile services ecosystem

InfoGin has unveiled a new range of mobile browsing offerings that complements its Intelligent Mobile Platform (IMP).

The company said that its new technologies provides operators with devices subscribers access to web content, applications and operator-driven services and enables them to expand their offerings and advertising, increase revenues, reduce churn and operational costs.

According to InfoGin, the new offering enables operators to define, customise and monetise their search service; and also enables operators to offer portal content and services and an infrastructure for the application community to integrate additional services and apps into the toolbar. In addition, it also enables users to access web applications and customise their favourite web apps to be displayed by selecting from a list defined by the operator.

The company said its Content & Functionality Adaptation offering provides users with the ability to view and interact with the web or any content and enables content and functionality adaptation of technologies that are not supported by the requesting device. It also enables users to browse and play any multimedia content on any device player and to toggle between mobile, full web and SmartView browsing modes to view web sites on small screen devices.

In addition, the Personalisation offerings provide includes features such as text-to-speech, single click product price comparison, find in page and other services, while Optimization and Acceleration services provide application-layer traffic optimisation and download acceleration capabilities which result in higher traffic reduction rates. It also provides benefits such as traffic reduction, enhanced user experience, application layer traffic optimization, lossless and lossy mode of operation, the company said.
