INFODATA SHIPS ITS VFC DOCUMENT WEB INTEGRATION TOOL

By CBR Staff Writer

Infodata Systems Inc is now shipping its Virtual Filing Cabinet, VFC, software for document sharing and integration over the Web. The Fairfax, Virginia-based company’s technology offers a single point of contact for a contact regardless of its origin or where it is stored. Links can be created to documents to determine privileges to documents that are then viewed through a browser. VFC is up on Windows NT only right now, but Solaris and HP-UX versions are planned, according to the company. The client runs on Windows 95, NT and 3.11. Infodata licenses it directly at the moment, but is looking for OEM customers and reseller deals. It starts at $15,000 for unlimited seats and a full turnkey product, including hardware, is offered for $50,000.
