Infodata Systems Inc, Fairfax, Virginia-based document management software house, has announced that Richard Bueschel, the company’s chairman, has been named CEO on an interim basis, filling the hole left by the departure of James Ungerleider, effective immediately. Ungerleider has jumped ship for what the company said are philosophical differences. Chief financial officer Chris Dettmar said the company’s counsel has advised them not to say anything more about the departure, implying there was some acrimony behind the move. Bueschel, who has been a director of Infodata since 1992, took the opportunity to reassert that the company will meet the current financial expectations for a loss in the second quarter ended June 30 comparable to the first quarter loss of $0.20 per share, followed by narrower losses in the subsequent quarters of the year. Dettmar said the company figures it will return to profit by the fourth quarter of this year. Bueschel will lead the search for a permanent chief executive.
