Infobank International Holdings Plc, the Langley, Berkshire, UK-based e-commerce group, has formed an alliance with Dutch e-commerce consultancy the Resultum Group that will see its Intrade software supplied and supported in the Netherlands. Resultum TransOpen e-commerce system operates e-commerce hubs for major companies operating in Holland such as Philips, Sony and NIC.
While the move signals Infobank’s ambitions to build up further channel partners outside the UK, managing director Jim Conning is guarded about forecasting when the alliance will enter the US market where it will confront leading competitors Commerce One Inc and Ariba Technologies Inc. However, Infobank is determined to move into the US market where it believes that its software’s multi-currency and multi-lingual capabilities give it advantages over more insular competitors.
