Inet’s software will check mobile networks in Poland and Portugal

Inet Technologies has won contracts with the Portuguese subsidiary of Vodafone and PTK Centertel of Poland. The US company will be providing software which checks GPRS systems. The product is called GeoProbe Mobile and looks for problems specific to wireless and packet-based data technologies.

GeoProbe will give mobile operators a holistic view of the condition of their networks without disturbing its performance. The software includes an advanced network security application.

It also provides support for advanced applications, high-speed packet data and IP interfaces. Inet says the GeoProbe givers carriers a real-time, a comprehensive, end-to-end view of their networks.
